“Très bel ecolodge au calme, perdu dans la nature”
The ecolog lodge does a lot to preserve resources. The rooms are very beautiful, offering a nice view of the countryside and sea. The restaurant is delicious, the view superb, and the products local. There’s a calm moment by the pool. However, the staff are not trained for guest reception: no one speaks English, and at arrival you’re handed keys, at departure you receive a receipt. The same people who clean and cook also handle check‑in and check‑out, so there’s no manager or reception team. Other guest houses run by locals usually speak some English or French, but here all information is provided via a QR code with no further interaction. For taxis you have to arrange your own transport; nothing is organized to share rides between guests to the city or airport. A filtered water system would help reduce bottled water use, and no bottle was offered in the room upon arrival. The shower water is cold even after running for a few minutes as suggested, which wastes a lot of water in a region that is severely lacking it.
