I really liked the hotel’s location in the old centre of Peniscola, close to many restaurants. The room is cute, as is the bathroom. If you’re driving, I recommend parking at Villa Rico for 15 euros per 24 hours; it’s only a 15‑minute walk from the hotel and very secure. I also advise not to bring a suitcase because there are several flights of stairs. We communicated with the owner via WhatsApp after arriving past check‑in time, and it all went smoothly; she spoke French. Peniscola is a nice town, and I’d suggest it for one or two nights. However, there can be noise, especially in peak season, because the walls aren’t well insulated and the church bell rings every 5 minutes, which can be quite disturbing. You’ll hear the neighbors more than street traffic. I don’t recommend it for light sleepers.
