The place was clean, the owner was friendly, and the location was great. However, there was no hot water, and the owner didn’t take responsibility; given the price, I expected a relocation to resolve the issue.

The hosts were very helpful, friendly and genuine, which gave me a nostalgic feeling of my grandparents’ village and the neighbors we had. The house had a splendid view and all the amenities, and the breakfast was delicious.

We didn’t get a breakfast because it was only served at 9 am and we had to leave before that. The room was very humid and musty; a dehumidifier would have been useful instead of a humidifier.

I liked the rustic vibe and location, but the outside lighting was pretty dim.

We had a great stay in a distinctive mountain village; parking was easy just outside the village and a short walk to the lodging. A map in the square at the village entrance shows where Casa da Urze sits. The hosts on site were very friendly and helpful, and we dined there for both dinner and breakfast. Even though the doorways were narrow, we absolutely loved it!
