A small‑scale hotel with a really cool vibe, attentive staff, breakfast with a sea view and early‑morning surfers, spacious rooms and bathrooms, and a perfect spot—just four steps down to the gorgeous Kabalana beach. It’s a pity there’s no dining beyond breakfast, but Ahangama offers countless restaurants with varied cuisines, so it isn’t a problem.

Breakfast was good, the staff were kind and helpful, the bedding was comfortable, and every room had a sea view. The nearby restaurants and the beach’s proximity were great. The air conditioning feels a bit old, there’s no hair dryer (though you can borrow one), and the road traffic can be dangerous for pedestrians, though it’s quiet at night.

Everything was perfect—right on the beach, staff were wonderful, and the large rooms let me unwind after a long surf session at Sticks surf break. The team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, and I’ll definitely return for another trip to Ahangama.
