“Totally bad 👎”

I’m not staying here because the owner was far too intrusive and made us feel very uncomfortable. He touched us without our permission while talking to us, which was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Being a hotel owner does not give anyone the right to invade a guest’s personal space.

The hotel is close to the beach and has a wonderful restaurant.

The staff were incredible and the breakfast was fantastic (scrambled eggs). The only downside was the towels.

When we arrived, they made us change buildings—probably a black‑market operation—and after two nights they also forced us to switch rooms. It didn’t drive me crazy.

“Avoid this hotel (run by SST Hotel Groups) at all costs. Not a good experience.”

The food at the restaurant was decent, but the price didn’t match what we had seen when booking. At check‑in the proprietor asked to see my phone to verify details; I foolishly agreed and the next day learned he had cut our stay from 12 days to 3 days to lower his commission. When I confronted him he admitted it and also converted our room rate using the Euro rate instead of the advertised USD rate, which would have overcharged us by more than $AUD 133.00. He didn’t explain the breakfast charge listed, which added over $200 in unexpected fees for the 12‑day stay. The facilities felt more like a hostel than a hotel. Only one small bar of soap was supplied for the entire stay, no drinking water was provided, and sheets and towels were only changed on request. The room was never cleaned; bath towels were tiny and threadbare, the bottom sheet was ill‑fitting and couldn’t be tucked in, so I slept on a bare mattress most nights. Each of my wife and I received a single flannel top sheet that also couldn’t be tucked into the bed.
