I wasn’t really talking to the host, I was talking to Montenegro itself, where the power and water can be cut off at the same time. I also ran into the fact that five kilometres straight is actually eight‑ten kilometres up and down the mountains.

It was huge and comfy, tucked away from the traffic, and it felt really peaceful.

The host, Ken, is friendly and helpful, and for the price the place is decent. Still, a few things bothered us: there’s no living room at all; we kept having water and power outages and the hot water was an issue; at night the terrace is full of mosquitoes so you can’t stay there; the house is very damp; the AC only works in one room and isn’t enough for the other; there’s no view from the terrace; the photos showed a big pool but when we got there there was none; they claimed there was a washing machine but there wasn’t; the tourist spots are far away, so if you don’t have a car, I wouldn’t recommend it.
