The park was well kept, with plenty of accommodation choices, a quiet setting, and a budget cabin perfect for a short stay; there was plenty of green space and an easy walk to the beach via a footbridge, plus nearby fishing, kayaking, and boating options.

I was told the place was halfway for us, but I couldn’t locate the cabin we were assigned to. The mattress had springs bulging up at the top; even after putting three Dunbar sheets on it, I could still feel the spring. A staff member explained that because it was a rustic cabin I shouldn’t expect the best. After talking with the manager, she offered only a 50 % discount on a future visit. I asked for a refund, but the answer was no.

The park was delightful, simple, plain, and had a good old‑fashioned feel—a real gem in an otherwise too fancy world, and it was so close to the highway that we avoided a long detour on our long journey. I would have liked a rubbish bin in the main room.
