The hostel is tucked away in a secluded spot. The path is dark and narrow, so if you arrive late at night, it’s best to request a pick‑up. There are Japanese‑speaking staff, and you can add a tour as an option. They speak very fluently, so you can enjoy without prior research. The price is set low; if you’re satisfied with the work, give a generous tip.
“Viajero cómodo media estancia.”
The spot is on the main alley, close to one of the ghats. Breakfast is decent: Te Chai or coffee, bananas, French omelette, white bread toast with jam and butter. The shower’s water tap didn’t work; only the faucet delivered water, so you had to fill a bucket and use a small jug to wash.
“Not Recommended: Unbearable Heat and Dishonest Behavior”
I booked twice at this guesthouse: from the 26th to the 30th, and again from the 30th to the 31st. On arrival I was given a “Double Room with External Private Bathroom” under the roof. Inside it was unbearably hot, around 45 °C (113 °F), hotter than outside, making it impossible to stay. I politely asked Raj if I could change rooms; he responded extremely rudely and treated me with a complete lack of respect. Since I had already paid the full stay via UPI, he offered a refund so I could find elsewhere. After asking me to sign a document confirming receipt of the refund, he suddenly claimed he had never received my UPI payment. I found this behavior completely dishonest. I told him that if he didn’t refund immediately I would contact the tourist police, and only then was the situation resolved. Unfortunately, I’m not the only guest who has faced this rude behavior. I urge you to read the negative reviews on various platforms—many travelers describe similar experiences. I absolutely do not recommend this guesthouse.
“Buenp”
The service was good, the staff excellent, and they took us to see the best of Varanasi for a very comfortable price. The streets were very polluted.
“Consigliato per la posizione”
The property sits in a very convenient spot for reaching the main attractions. The room was clean. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and kind. Raj offers free half‑hour or hour‑long guided tours, giving valuable explanations; feel free to ask him to organize based on availability. The room is minimal; it would have been handy to have a few more outlets and a small dresser. The bathroom is private but located outside the room, accessed from the balcony (they give a lock and keys), and the sink is small.
