Everything they served – the bread, butter and the homemade jam – was clearly made on‑site and tasted far better than anything you’d find in a supermarket.

“Magnifique séjour à Vals ,qui mérite le détour (village ,architecture, thermes )”
The welcome was very warm and the old house in the beautiful village of Vals felt like a wooden chalet full of tranquility; the evening meal was pleasant, and the breakfast, prepared and served by our host, was also enjoyable – definitely worth a stop. Nothing in particular to complain about.
“Quiet village spot with tasty homemade bread, but missing a welcome”
The quiet setting right in the heart of the village was a real plus, and they even laid out fresh homemade bread and a braided loaf for us without us asking. The only thing that felt a bit off was that nobody gave us a proper welcome greeting when we arrived. Overall, a pleasant stay but a warmer hello would have been nice.
“Historic house, comfy rooms, and chef‑run meals”
Staying in the oldest year‑round house in Vals was a treat; it sits in a quiet lane yet is right in the centre, and the renovation kept lots of historic photos and family touches that made it feel authentic and cozy. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast solid, and if you asked the owner Albin Corsin, he’d cook a regional dinner himself.
“Alte aber gemütliche Unterkunft.”
The breakfast was very regional, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
“Homemade spreads that really impress”
Everything they served – the bread, butter and the homemade jam – was clearly made on‑site and tasted far better than anything you’d find in a supermarket. The quality was top‑notch, making breakfast feel like a little treat each morning.
