The price was good, yet everything else was awful: the toilet seat was broken, there were no towels, soap, or shampoo, the room reeked of wet dog and cigarettes even though the floor was just sticky vinyl, and I couldn’t find anyone at the desk to ask for help.

I could bring my puppy, but the room was filthy, smelled terrible, the countertop was peeling off the wall, the floor was so grimy that my feet turned black, and the people hanging outside at night made me feel uneasy.

The hotel was clean, had a kitchen, and gave easy access to a huge park across the street for walks, but I was mistakenly directed to the Birchwood Extended Stay across the highway by Google.

Everything was dirty with a cigarette odor, the furniture was broken, and there was dog fur in the elevator.

There was a bed to sleep in, but the counter was broken, the remote didn’t work, the kitchenette had no dishes, breakfast wasn’t included, Wi‑Fi was awful, and random people lingered at the hotel doors.
