The hotel was very nice and comfortable. I set the heater to 5, but the room was still too cold.

Hörners Landgasthof, a 17th‑century family‑run inn in Türkheim south of Geislingen an der Steige, offers cozy rooms amid the Swabian Alps. Its in‑house butchers supply fresh fish and game for a rustic restaurant serving Swabian specialties and seasonal international dishes. Guests dine in a charming beer garden, then explore nearby hiking, cycling, Legoland, or Stuttgart.

The hotel is convenient for a stopover. The breakfast was great, with a good mix of sweet and savory items. Check‑in was self‑service and very easy. The room was fine and had a small balcony. We were able to park right in front, even though the spaces are limited. The bathroom was very small. Cleanliness was average; there were a few insects and the shower curtain was yellow at the bottom and should be replaced. The sound insulation was very poor, we could hear everything, even people in the room above us who came in during the night and we could hear every step.

The inn’s location was perfect for what we needed, and the dinner was very tasty. The room was a bit cramped because of the sloping ceiling, but it was clean and had everything required. At breakfast, the staff were cut back – guests had to clear their own dishes, and some didn’t even do that.

The room was neither nice nor fresh, small and somewhat makeshift. The staff were not friendly, and the restaurant was closed because of a holiday. We had booked the room for that reason, but the surroundings were not pleasant.
