The location, service, facilities, and activities were all great, but the breakfast lacked variety and there was no microwave. I’d also recommend a mosquito control measure for rooms.

Everything was perfect; the staff were super friendly and I really liked it.

Good location, daily free salsa lesson, and simple breakfast. The kitchen is a mess and it’s hard to keep it clean.

Nice free salsa classes and outdoor chill spots, and the included breakfast with free eggs, bread, and cornflakes is a bonus. We stayed in a private room (102) on the ground floor, so the hallway and reception noise seeped in because the door opened at the bottom. The kitchen shuts down for cleaning from 10 to 11 am, which isn’t convenient if you want to eat later. We reported a flush problem but nobody fixed it; they promised free entry to Gringo Tuesday, but when we arrived they said we needed a QR code.

The hostel is excellent: a former two‑level house that’s well laid out with a café, multiple indoor and outdoor areas, a rooftop bar, a great kitchen, and overall very clean. The dorms have light, an outlet, a fan, a comfy bed, curtains, and large lockers; mine had a nice breeze. Staff were very helpful and gave a thorough introduction, especially the new member who did a great job. The DIY breakfast offers good options, and the hostel promotes activity tours for 85k and evening salsa classes. It’s a 10‑minute walk to a cluster of bars, bakeries, food outlets, and a market, and a 30‑minute walk to the riverside centre. One suggestion: washing clothes isn’t allowed, which is inconvenient for travelers who only need to wash a shirt, shorts, underwear, or socks—placing a line in the central outdoor space would solve that, as people already dry clothes in the dorms regardless of hostel policy.
