We booked a month in advance, but when we arrived the hotel was already closed and there were no signs. No one answered on the phone or online, and arriving at night in a new country with no response was unsettling.

The accommodation was clean, with air‑conditioning and a shared balcony for seating. Finding it was a bit harder—you have to go through the parking lot under the building and climb the stairs.

You’ll be shocked by the entrance itself. You can’t get a refund, and the room you receive isn’t what the photos show.

The place was clean and the administrator helped us get a taxi to the airport at night. When we checked in we couldn’t pay by card, only cash. We had money in rupees and dollars; the admin had no dollar change and didn’t accept the rupee bills because they were slightly torn (two bills, a few millimetres). He said we’d go out and exchange them. We walked 8 km around the city and never exchanged. We returned to the room, and only after I told him it didn’t work did he take them. The room had no soundproofing; the windows were closed but it felt like we slept with them open. The hotel was hard to find, and the entrance was from the parking lot.
