La Mariposa Mauritius

A very pretty, small hotel right on the beach; the big tree where breakfast is served in the morning and where you can relax in the evening is truly exceptional; the whole property, though compact, is very well landscaped; we had a room with a stunning sea view; the staff were very attentive; for dinner you could choose from two starters and two main courses, and the food tasted very good; there were plenty of parking spaces for rental cars right at the hotel. The separation of the bathroom is fine, but could be improved a bit.

Right on the sea, the staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. The beach was not well maintained.

The location is very good, right on the sea, and the breakfast and dinner food were good. A week before arrival we were asked to cancel our booking because of a wedding party, even though it wasn’t free‑cancellable; we didn’t cancel, and when we arrived the staff said nothing about it. At check‑in we were made to wait until exactly 14:00 even though the rooms were apparently ready at 13:30. The bathroom had minor defects (leaky window, a completely loose tap, etc.).

“Atardecer mágico en la costa oeste de Mauricio”

The location on Mauritius’s west coast offers the best sunsets and is an ideal distance for island tours, right on the beachfront. Special shout‑out to the restaurant staff—friendly, helpful, always on top of things—and to the receptionist who was almost every morning from 19 to 25 September. The only downside was that every day we had to ask for bathroom towels.
