The location was great, easy access to the hotel, and all the little details were provided—skincare products, tea, cake, water, orange juice. We were three in a very small room. Once the futons were unfolded, there was no room left for luggage, so we put it in the closet and folded the coffee table to store it.

The hotel kept things simple, offering only what was necessary and free drinks that made me feel at ease. However, the hot water never came on, and when it did, it was scalding hot with no temperature control, which felt almost dangerous and unacceptable for a lodging place.

Even though the price was low, the amenities were plentiful and there were plenty of towels. The shower availability was hard to determine, and the way the room key worked from inside seemed questionable.

I was a little uneasy about checking in by email with a number because the staff weren't there, but everything went smoothly. The bed and towels were clean, and I could adjust the air‑con just right, which was a relief. The toilet and shower were separate, and although there was no bathtub, the hot climate meant a shower was enough. I used the water, orange juice, tea, and coffee that were provided. Walking to Kintetsu Nara Station took about 15 minutes, but passing through the shopping street made it convenient for meals and shopping. The room number plate was missing at first, so I couldn’t tell where my room was; it kept falling off no matter how many times I stuck it on, and the sound of it dropping from the door made me jump, so I removed it entirely.
