The room was tidy and the bedding excellent. Food scored 5/10; breakfast offered only two options for staff convenience, then handed out a leaflet for guests to fill in. Most items were cold. Staff seemed a bit odd, focusing more on extra charges than politeness.

The building is charming, set among honey‑colored stone cottages in a lovely village. The bed was comfy, the shower refreshing, and breakfast tasty. Inside, the decor looked amateurish and worn. A constant odd gurgling noise could be heard in our room, and there was a strange smell, possibly from incense sticks. We would have appreciated a printed breakfast menu.

The spot looks great, but when we got there after dark the parking area was poorly lit. The room was advertised as the biggest and newly renovated, yet it carried a nasty odor—probably drains or mildew. The sheets were too small for the bed and felt damp; an air freshener helped, but the duvet was still small. Two bedroom walls had damp stains. The tea and coffee setup was underwhelming. The pub was mainly used by locals, and breakfast was very basic, featuring cheap sausages.
