The room was clean and organized, and the balcony offered a nice street view. The TV wasn’t a smart TV, so I couldn’t access YouTube or Netflix, and there was no staff at the front desk or reception at night.

The only good thing was the location. From the moment we arrived there was no staff to receive us; an acquaintance of the host handled the check‑in. Room 101 smelled strongly of bleach, the fridge and lights had poor contact, and the bathroom had a raised area that prevented water from draining straight into the drain. I had to lock the main entrance door myself, and the key was hard to use; two men outside watched us, and from the balcony they could see us climbing the stairs and waved at us. We tried to lock again but there was no key. We couldn’t sleep, worried. We reached out to the host and the friend, but they only responded the next day, so there was no system in place for emergencies.

The apartments and the service were great, but I liked everything.

The location was good, but I paid a daily rate and the room had no air conditioning for 12 hours, and no staff was available to resolve the issue, not to mention the room still had a baratinha when I checked in.
