The location, the balcony view, the large room, everything was superb. The breakfast was adequate but not on par with the hotel’s usual standard.

The location was unbeatable, right in front of Plaza de Armas, and the staff were super friendly and eager to help. I asked for a first‑floor room, and they promised to accommodate me. When we got there at 9 pm, only two first‑floor rooms were available: one was taken and the other was under repair because of a toilet problem. Eventually they handed us the remaining room, which had a terrible smell, and we stayed there for five nights.

The main advantage of this hotel is its location: it sits right on the central square, perfect for walking around the city. Despite that, the room was quiet and we had no major noise issues. We appreciated the staff’s willingness to keep our luggage for two days before check‑in, letting us head to the Inca Rail trip without worry. The building and rooms are a bit dated, though overall well maintained. In short, the location and helpful staff are great, but some aspects of the property and the discomfort in the room left us a bit disappointed. The room wasn’t very spacious, and we had toilet problems from the first use; each time we had to call for help, which was resolved quickly but still inconvenient and unpleasant. The take‑away breakfast seemed less generous than at other hotels we stayed at during the trip. Considering the price, we feel the value for money isn’t adequate and expected more.
