The location and staff service were excellent, the room was clean and very pleasant, and the hot spring temperature was just right for a relaxed soak. At bedtime, the interior lighting was either too dark or too bright; a softer down‑light near the window or a small down‑light in the TV area would have helped. Some structural issues might explain it, but it was still a problem.

The kaiseki dinner was delicious, and every item on the breakfast buffet was tasty; the price for two meals felt reasonable. The front desk staff were sloppy and didn’t feel welcoming. The water server on the floor had mineral build‑up, indicating poor cleaning. There was an alcohol vending machine, but snacks or light drinks would have been nice. The room only had tea packs; coffee would have been appreciated.

The meals were very good and the view was lovely. At night, there was no bus to return to the hotel, so walking was a hassle.
