It feels like stepping back in time; the lady who welcomes you with a friendly hug makes you feel like family. It’s a typical little house in Cesky Krumlov that lets you slip into a corner of local life. It isn’t for those looking for a modern hotel, but for those seeking a slightly different experience. Aside from that, the property is very clean and the breakfast is good and plentiful, with eggs or hot dishes cooked on the spot by the lady… No issues, just a heads‑up for those with mobility problems: the rooms are only reachable by fairly steep stairs.

The spot is great with a view of the Vltava, and the host lady is amazing—this place really has soul. I can’t think of anything to complain about.

“The stay fell far short of basic standards of fairness and honesty”

The riverside location and the town itself are lovely, and the surrounding area was the highlight of our trip. However, the rating seemed inflated: the building in the photos wasn’t the one we stayed in, and our attic room was tiny and not disclosed. Parking was a 10‑minute uphill walk, breakfast was often missing and we had to buy food elsewhere, and hygiene was poor—there was a bird in the kitchen, food stored near dirty equipment, and water was scarce even in hot weather.
