The shared kitchen and living area was spacious and pleasant, and the bedroom had a bottle of wine and some candies. The room stayed clean, no bugs spotted, and there was a handy USB charger on the nightstand. A cappuccino maker sat in the kitchen, though I never got around to learning how to use it. The spot was close to Beach Blvd and stayed quiet, and the Wi‑Fi held up well. The managers were courteous and supplied all the details I asked for. I was taken aback when I discovered the bathroom was shared, a detail buried in the fine print that I only realized once it mattered; luckily no one else was using it at the time, so it was fine for me. The bathroom walls had a few tears in the wallpaper and the toilet paper holder was broken, while the bedroom walls had some marks—nothing major for the price. The clock on the nightstand was wrong and I couldn’t figure out how to reset it. The driveway has two lanes, so if more than two parties stay, you’ll need to coordinate who leaves first in the morning. The Google Street View of the property is blurred, which feels a bit untrustworthy. On the day I was checking in, I hadn’t received any check‑in instructions. I emailed the day before but got no reply until I was almost there, and I don’t check email often while traveling. I called the property and got a voicemail, left a message, and later received a callback just in time for check‑in. The manager was very polite and gave me what I needed. It helped that I had my phone charged and with reception; otherwise I would have had no idea how to unlock the door. It would have been better to get that info *before* I traveled.
