The host was very responsive and quickly replied to our request for an early check‑in. He greeted us personally upon arrival, handled the check‑in himself, and took time to give useful information about the city, including a map, dining recommendations, and tips for getting around. His hospitality and local knowledge helped us settle in. Unfortunately, our experience with the host became very stressful due to confusion about breakfast and how the situation was handled. We woke up on the first morning expecting breakfast because the guest information booklet in our room stated that breakfast was served between 7:30 and 10:00. There was no indication anywhere on the property that breakfast was taking place, so I contacted the host to ask about it. He explained that breakfast was not included and was instead available at a café about three minutes away for €6 per person. We fully understood that breakfast was not complimentary and never requested that it be free. However, when we asked for the name or location of the café, the host said he did not have those details at the time, although he mentioned he could provide vouchers. Later that evening, I asked what the vouchers were for, as we had already found our own breakfast. This is where communication unfortunately deteriorated. The host responded with a series of messages repeatedly stating that breakfast was not included, despite us already acknowledging this. Over the course of the day, he sent 19 separate messages, many of which came across as angry and confrontational. I eventually replied asking him to stop because we understood the situation. The messages then continued through WhatsApp, where the host sent an additional 12 messages, some in Italian, complaining that we were bothering him. My husband and I repeatedly reassured him that we understood breakfast was not included and politely asked him to stop messaging us. He did not. What was most concerning was that at one point the host cancelled our reservation even though we still had two nights remaining. We were out at dinner when this happened and were left uncertain about whether we still had accommodation for the rest of our stay. As two couples travelling together in an unfamiliar city, this was extremely upsetting and stressful.
The owner was perfectly hospitable, offering top‑class services from a secure garage parking to a nearby bar where breakfast was served with excellent products and incredibly friendly staff. The room was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with all comforts. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful city of Reggio.

The host was excellent—very cordial, kind, helpful, and attentive. We arrived before check‑in time, and because the room was ready, he let us in. He took the time to explain the nearby sights, and everything was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
