Yakushima Green Hotel is a 3-minute drive from Anbo Port, offering Japanese-style and Western-style rooms with ocean views, as well as single rooms without ocean views. The hotel features spacious public baths, free Wi-Fi, and internet PCs in the lobby, along with a souvenir shop and coin laundry. It serves Japanese breakfast and traditional kaiseki dinner, near Yakusugi Museum and Yakushima Airport.

Everything was clean and the staff were courteous, but the Wi‑Fi was not very good.

We three found the room roomy enough, and the large public bath was perfect for unwinding after hiking, with my friends using it almost daily and giving it high marks; despite the hotel’s age, it’s well‑maintained and made for a very pleasant stay, the parking lot was spacious enough that even an inexperienced driver had no trouble, and nearby restaurants and a market made the location ideal, so I’d definitely book again on my next Yakushima visit, although the bathroom is a bit small, the layout can be confusing and with lots of luggage the walk to the elevator felt unusually long on the first day; still, it’s a wonderful hotel.
