The interior was themed and the location was convenient with everything close by—piers, BTS, buses, and cafés. The shower had a problem; the water never came on, so I had to wash in the sink instead.

Only the location. Dirty dusty display above bed filled with rubbish and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since it had been put there made us uncomfortable. The beds hadn’t been changed and sheets were making us itchy so I asked reception for new linen… the girl sighed like I was asking too much and then left me for 5 minutes standing while they argued in Thai until I asked again and one of them went to get it, for there only to have small sizes sheets so I had to layer the two sheets in order to have a non itchy hair covered bed. There were punch holes in the wall and the room smelt like damp as the shower has no ventilation

The room’s unique décor and individual theme were a plus, and the fake balcony view with faux rocks was amusing. However, the staff treated my Indian girlfriend poorly when they saw her passport, and they first tried to charge us 5000 baht for alleged smoking in the room—though security footage clearly showed we smoked outside each time. After we pointed out the footage, they attempted to withhold a 500 baht security deposit for a “weird” smell. When we said we would call the tourist police, we eventually got the 500 baht back and could leave to catch a taxi to the airport. I’d recommend looking elsewhere, as there are cheaper, equally unique stays with better hospitality.

It’s one of my favorite hotels—affordable and surrounded by 7‑11 and Mini Big C, with easy access to the central pier Taksin. The only downside is that the room isn’t sound‑proof, so you can hear everyone’s conversations and footsteps down the corridor. I’m fine with the noise because of the reasonable price and private bathroom.
