The staff were always courteous and helpful. In the evenings you could order well‑mixed cocktails for a low price at the small bar or try free sake. The hotel had the lively vibe of a hostel where you feel welcome, yet it offered the comfort of a hotel. Every night there was a free workshop on Japanese crafts, language, tea ceremony, etc. Overall highly recommend! The rooms were a bit small, and the lobby or breakfast area could have been more upscale and stylish.
