I had a wonderful stay at Lisi Peninsula Hotel. The décor is strikingly oriental Chinese, and the giant panda landmark sits just across the street. A short walk takes you to the riverside park where you can see Hongyadong from a fantastic distance. The hotel is close to Metro Lines 6 and 9, making every scenic spot easy to reach. There’s a gym and a self‑service laundry room, and the breakfast is freshly made, offering both Chinese and Western options.

The new‑Chinese‑style décor feels superb, right across the street is IFS Giant Panda and a walk along the river puts you just across the water from the best viewpoint of Hongya Cave; the metro makes getting anywhere easy, the gym and self‑service laundry are fully equipped, and breakfast showcases authentic Chongqing flavours – the local noodles are a must‑try.

The hotel sits close to all of Chongqing’s attractions, just a three‑minute walk to the subway and a ten‑minute taxi ride to Jiefangbei; service and cleanliness are especially attentive, and I highly recommend their breakfast, which offers both Western and Chinese dishes made fresh on the day and suits every palate.
