The only thing I appreciated was the location. Everything else was terrible: the top blankets on the beds were stained, we had to kill about 20 stink bugs during the night and into the morning, the light over the sink was broken, the room had never been cleaned or swept, and the phone, remote and hair dryer were covered in thick, caked-on dirt. We were even assigned the same room as someone else.

They gave us absolutely nothing to like. The room was filthy—from the floors to the vents in the air conditioner. The tub/shower was disgustingly dirty, and there was even dirt around the numbers on the room phone. The TV didn’t work at all; we could only turn it on to a gray screen that we could turn off. We were hoping to drown out the party that went on until 3:30 am, but they should have paid us to stay there. Our first impression was three police cars parked outside, clearly not for the party in our neighbor’s room.

The room smelled of weed, the sink counter was cracked in several places, and to turn the cold water on you had to turn the knob toward hot, then switch to cold again. The other room’s booked shelf was so loose it couldn’t be used. There was a water stain on the ceiling from a leak, safety features were missing, and when I asked for a receipt they said they couldn’t provide it because I booked through a third party, even though I paid them directly. When I tried to contact them, their phone was always busy.

A sign on the room door warned that pest‑control spray would be applied the following morning and that they would come in even if guests were still there. I went straight to the front desk and demanded a refund.
