A tiny flat right in the heart of Ghent with good beds, even the sofa bed, and a minimalist look that still feels complete; it’s conveniently next to a parking garage and right in the city center. The street itself feels a bit deserted on weekends, with the entrance to a university building, a construction site, and another parking garage nearby, so I’m not sure I’d have wanted to walk alone at night.

The location is fantastic. Even though it’s in the center, the room is quiet and silent, perfect for exploring the city on foot. Everything is within reach. The pillows were not comfortable.

Check‑in and check‑out went very smoothly. The room was larger than expected and had comfortable amenities. There was a lot of noise early in the morning from shop deliveries, but since it’s right in the center, that’s to be expected.

The beds are excellent and the location is great, just five minutes to the old town. The Nespresso machine comes with enough pods for two nights. The building is old, with oppressive dark brown tones in the bathroom that create a gloomy vibe, worsened by the lack of staff presence. After booking, you must guarantee a €200 deposit on your credit card or you won’t receive an access code; we didn’t know this beforehand and couldn’t cancel. The kitchen is very basic; a second wine glass would have been nice for two people. We were woken every morning by heavy construction noise; the landlord can’t do much, but sound‑proof windows would have helped.

The apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need. To gain entry, we were forced to pay an exorbitant deposit or a €10 insurance that wasn’t mentioned or agreed upon with Booking; the deposit is returned only after seven days post‑checkout if no damage is found. Avoid this place.
