Hotel Seebrise Grömitz, a family-run hotel, is centrally located in Grömitz, a short walk from the spa park and beach. The hotel offers free WiFi, a terrace, and classically furnished rooms with flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms. Amenities include luggage and bicycle storage, on-site parking, and proximity to shops, restaurants, and the yacht harbour.

The staff and hotel manager were very good, but at temperatures over 30 °C a cooling system is essential. The window could still be opened for ventilation, yet the hotel sits on a heavily trafficked street and a bus stop is directly outside our window, so it was a pity to have such heat in summer.

The hotel looks freshly updated, bright and welcoming, and the location is superb; the rooms felt cozy, functional and well stocked, with everything we needed, including a fridge we could fill ourselves, which was great in the roughly 30 °C weather. From the outside the lake breeze didn’t make much difference (inside it was much nicer), and during my stay the temperature hit 30 °C, making the room uncomfortably hot even at night – something the hotel can’t control. Two things could be improved: the shower leaked so badly that the bathroom was half underwater despite my efforts, and the fridge, which I loved for keeping drinks cold, was noisy enough to disturb me at night beyond the usual humming.

The beach is just a 5–10 minute walk away and shops are also within walking distance. The staff were very friendly. The hotel sits right on the main street, so my ground‑floor room was very loud because the bus stop was directly outside my window. A wooden fence hid the street from view, but the noise was still there. Over my 6‑day stay the room was cleaned only once – unacceptable. The breakfast buffet rarely had fresh items like tomatoes or cucumbers; the cereal had a handful of cherries (?) or sometimes a lone nectarine (?) – better to stick with canned fruit salad.

The beach is great. The room is standard. Breakfast is good. The room is very noisy because it’s on the Bundesstraße. There aren’t enough hooks in the room to dry clothes; more would be nice. Breakfast is good, but on weekends there should be something fishy like salmon – it’s completely missing. Regional specialties are not offered at all.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the very nice and friendly staff who were always helpful and created a pleasant atmosphere. We felt completely at ease and would gladly return. Thank you for the lovely time.
