“Perfect trip to Aladdin Desert with a lot of friendly staff”
Just a short walk from the dunes, the drive to the camp was smooth and our driver Salah was outstanding, but the absence of AC made sleeping difficult.

I can’t understand why anyone would rate this place positively. Everything here is a disaster. The pre‑arrival communication is clumsy and contradictory. The accommodation itself is the worst and dirtiest I’ve ever stayed in. There is no service. The internet doesn’t work, drinks (even water) aren’t provided and you have to bring your own. The “tents” are actually shabby huts. It’s an absolute nightmare that still costs you money. The cheap booking price is misleading. In the end you still pay for transfers (120‑150 €), dinner (20 € per person) and possibly camel riding (20 € per person). All of that for the risk of food poisoning, poor communication and an untidy camp!

Right on the dunes with a stunning starry sky and a campfire in the evening.

Strong points of the accommodation: Aissa, the driver who took us to the camp, tried hard to find animals on the tour: dromedaries, ostriches (amazing how they call and run for the food offered) and also white Orix antelopes, beautiful. The camp’s location between the dunes is spectacular. Dinner on the terrace was a treat (and the food was very tasty). Weaknesses: The heat inside the bungalow at night was awful. We barely rested. We were also disappointed by the sunset over the dunes (we expected something more colourful, honestly). The same went for the night sky. We had read that desert nights are stunning, but what we saw didn’t particularly impress us. We saw stars, but not more than what we’d seen elsewhere. No Milky Way or anything like that.

The night sky and the big dunes, the inner courtyard with the gazebo, the sand, the driver Aissa, who stopped at all the panoramic points to take pictures. The trip to the camp took longer than stated in the reservation, because it was on a detour, established by the organizer (to see ostriches and camels in their natural habitat; interesting, but unnecessary. I didn’t pay for a desert trip to be taken to the “zoo”). As a result, I arrived extremely late in the desert and didn’t catch the sunset over the dunes. Basically, the purpose of the trip was not achieved. I paid so much money (including 150 € for the round trip by car) to catch 2 hours of light in the desert. Disappointing!!! There was no time for the camel ride, nor for walking barefoot through the fine sand of the desert. Everything was in a hurry because the sun was setting, and in the desert at night it’s really dark. The next day there was a sandstorm, so we left before the normal check‑out time. The accommodation was not very good: there was a sickly sweet smell in the bungalow, I couldn’t sleep well at all.
