The employees were great, the view was beautiful, and it’s a good place to relax. However, you really need a scooter to get around.
“Great hospitality, delicious food... Felt like staying with friends.:-)”
Everything was wonderful; the owners welcomed us warmly, offered rides in their car, and ensured we had everything we needed. The surroundings were stunning and the view from the property breathtaking. I especially enjoyed the food, like the Penang curry and soups, and next time I’ll try the cashew dish. Nothing was wrong—great value, exactly as advertised. If you don’t have a car and don’t mind walking, you’ll be fine. With my teenage son, we went on some trips, but if I had been alone I’d have happily spent the day reading and enjoying the view.
I was told this place was a Glamping, so I expected a glamorous camping experience, but it was basically nothing like that. The views are impressive, but that’s all. The road to get there is awful, and taxis usually won’t go up there. The family running the place seems unwilling to work. The kitchen opens only from 15.00h to 20.00h, and when I politely asked to dine, they refused, claiming the owner’s mother was sleeping (she’s the cook). Solar power supplies the electricity, and during the day when it’s 40° or higher you can’t even turn on the fan because there’s no air conditioning. There’s no hot water in the shared showers, and that area is quite neglected. I stayed 14 nights and paid an outrageous price—so much that I paid the same as a 4‑star hotel to survive at the Glamping. Booking did nothing to resolve this despite my requests, and when I contacted Customer Service they simply forwarded my messages to the host, creating a very unpleasant situation and terrible treatment from the host. The sheets and towels are changed only once a week, the only fridge is in the common area far from the rooms, and moving around that “glamping” at night is neither easy nor comfortable. I even took a day trip to a nearby island and ended up paying for two nights in a hotel to rest halfway through my stay. When I left and settled the bill, they gave me a receipt only in Thai, so I couldn’t verify the exact charges, and they refused to give me the 20 % discount I was entitled to. The few nights I could dine at the Glamping, they didn’t even provide a menu, so I ate whatever was available, the same with breakfast, and the prices were again outrageous.
“By time I arrived I felt welcomed, the place was very lovely, the bungalows were cozy and very comfortable. The birds, t”
The vistas were amazing, the wildlife plentiful, the southern Thai food and breakfast were delicious, and the hospitality was flawless. No negatives at all, everything was perfect.
If you’re looking to spend time in nature, this place is excellent. It sits at the top of a hill, right in the middle of the forest, offering a gorgeous view. The staff were super friendly and granted us an earlier breakfast. We also asked for a ride from the glamping site to town, and they obliged and gave us a free ride. Breakfast was entirely sufficient—2 pancakes, 2 types of ham, a few pieces of vegetables, eggs, plus a large, full plate of fruit, coffee, and chilled water. The place was very quiet, making for a pleasant evening. Additionally, there’s a special relaxation spot with a telescope for guests to enjoy the view, and they have a turtle you can watch. The glamping site is on a steep hill, so walking up will leave you sweaty and exhausted. There’s no air conditioning, only a fan—fine, but AC would be better. Also, you can hear a rooster crowing in the morning.
