The house’s location is fantastic, but there are a few things to consider before choosing it. The owners live on the first floor and have a terrace overlooking the ocean and Africa, which is amazing! They’re very kind and generous—they let us spend an evening on their terrace. The room we rented is on the side; the sunrise from the window is spectacular and worth seeing. It’s a small but cozy room with a shower and toilet. Near the room is a table and two chairs with a slight ocean view. There’s parking nearby, which is great! The drive to Playa de Getares takes 5 minutes. The description lists a kitchen, but in reality there’s only a coffee machine and cutlery—no way to cook or heat food. There’s no washing machine. We stayed for 3 nights during a long country tour, so we needed to wash clothes, but there was no option. Please ask the owners to provide laundry facilities for travelers with backpacks. We also wish there were a microwave and a knife to cut food.
