Very convenient right by Mihara Station and the Shinkansen platform, but mould on the walls, peeling wallpaper, a tiny fridge, and sensitive hot‑and‑cold faucets made it feel like the whole place needs a renovation—and soon! It was twice the price of the next place that probably would’ve been a bit cleaner…

The staff were friendly and check‑in was easy; there’s paid parking nearby. The room matched my expectations for LiveMax – small and clean. However, there was an odd odor in the hotel, the shower was tiny, and the shower head splashed everywhere instead of where it should.

Rainwater leaked all the way into the room, soaking the floor, my work notebook and clothes; there was no prior warning that the old building could flood and no compensation was provided.

The hotel is close to the station and very cheap, but the mattress near the TV was dented, causing the whole bed to tilt when we slept; it would help if they rotated the mattress 180 degrees now and then.

The hotel is conveniently close to the station, and although it was dark when I arrived late, I think I could have enjoyed the castle‑site view if I’d come earlier; the rain on the second morning and the very early checkout on day three were disappointing, as I wished I could have lingered longer. When I turned on the bath water a loud gurgling noise startled me, making me think the system had broken, but it settled down quickly after a moment.
