“One night stay passing through on driving tour”

I paid extra for a sea view and it was worth every penny; we only had a room so I can’t comment on food or drink. The lift was small, old‑fashioned, and had two doors (we were on the third floor), but it was functional and worked, so no complaints.

“Expensive accommodation requiring a refit.”

The views from the hotel were good, it was clean with good towels, and the food at the wedding reception was excellent; breakfast offered lots of choice, Wi‑Fi was good, and the staff were very pleasant. It was very expensive for what we had, and we were charged an extra £10 for parking even though it was impossible to park safely on the road and it wasn’t lit to walk some distance from the car park to the hotel. The hotel has ‘faded glory’ but the windows in our room didn’t close properly, we had to climb into the bath for a shower, there was no makeup/shaving mirror or tissues, and the TV was tiny. Small things, but at £500+ for two nights, we have had better hotels than this.

The hotel stayed clean and tidy, and breakfast was good and cooked‑to‑order; it sits on the seafront, perfect for a chilled morning walk. Parking was almost right by the hotel, about a minute or two’s walk. However, parking is down on the main road by the beach and involves a gentle but steep walk up, which can be a challenge if you’re struggling; you’ll have to take it slow and steady. I arrived late after walking up Snowdonia earlier that day, the on‑site restaurant was booked up (not their fault) but only a handful of places nearby were open after 8 pm. Not the hotel’s fault, but useful for travelers to the area.

“Very restful”

The location and room were very good; we were delighted with the whole experience, which was restful and easy. Nothing negative.
