Perched on a hill outside Linz, the Sankt Magdalena Bildungshaus offers city views and a 12‑minute drive to the center. Guests enjoy a bar, fitness room, free WiFi, rooms with satellite TV and private baths, plus free on‑site parking. The A7 motorway and Linz University are a 10‑minute drive away, and the uphill final kilometer suits E‑bike riders.

Die Lage über den Dächern von Linz mit Teilausblick auf die Donau war sehr schön. Das Personal war sehr nett, das Zimmer hell und ansprechend. Wer über die Dächer von Linz schauen will, muss natürlich auf den Berg steigen, und das ist bei dieser Unterkunft auch so. Der Anstieg geht steil über 900 m entlang einer Straße und der Stadtteilbus fährt nur bis 19.21. Wer abends nach Linz will, oder bis abends an der JKU ist, muss den recht beschwerlichen Anstieg in kauf nehmen. Die Tasche, dass die Rezeption nur bis 17.30h besetzt ist, ist für Spätanreisende problematisch, weil man computergesteuert einchecken muss. Im Hintergrund arbeitende Mitarbeit lassen sich zwar ungern stören, sind aber dann sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend

The facilities were clean, but arriving at night meant checking in on a computer with no assistance.

The view from the hotel over Linz was nice and the welcome was friendly, but it was a shame that the room had no coffee or tea maker.
