The accommodation was great, the building fresh and clean. The staff were friendly and cooked me a western-style fried fish, the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka. They also arranged a boat trip around the lake, where we saw elephants better than on a 5‑hour jeep safari. Next to the house we had an epic tree with beautiful bats. The room itself was modern and clean, with a beautiful view. It’s a pity that the elephant didn’t come at all :c

The location is fantastic with a lake view, and you can even see elephants on a short walk to the lake. The property is well designed and kept in good shape, rooms are clean and spacious. The owner and staff were great, and it was a real pleasure to meet and chat with them. The only minor annoyance was the squeaky fan in the room, and the Wi‑Fi didn’t always work.
