“Disappointing, couldn’t wait to leave .”
The location was good and the room was comfortable. We booked the hotel for my birthday while walking the GR65 as a special treat and were very disappointed. An hour before arrival I got a text saying the pool and spa were unavailable. A week earlier I was told the restaurant was closed but that another restaurant in the village existed (in reality it was just a small bar with quiche or omelette—far from the birthday meal I imagined, though the staff were lovely). On arrival it became clear the hotel wasn’t really open and we were the only guests; I don’t know why the owner accepted the booking. We were left alone all evening, had to search for drinking water and glasses, and decided to lock the front door before bed. It felt eerie. We were charged full price even though no facilities were available. Not a good experience.
