Checking in with Pamela was absolutely awesome—she had the best smile and a wonderful personality! We’ll make it a point on future trips to stay at the Hilton in Amarillo just to be greeted by Pamela. Nothing else to note.

The location and clean facilities were good, but the bed was hard. The landscaping was unkept. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was only average and didn’t differ from free breakfast hotels.

The staff were very nice and the location was convenient, and they allowed dogs. However, there was water damage at the front desk with water dripping from the ceiling. Flies in the lobby and several crickets throughout the property were annoying. The rooms were clean, but the bathrooms looked like they had just been painted over damage and had some rust. Our door lock kept malfunctioning and it took several tries to get in. The room smelled of strong bleach. Breakfast was not included and it wasn’t good. This didn’t feel like a 4‑star hotel.

The room was nice, clean, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed/mattress could probably use an update.
