I never was told that the booking was an Airbnb, yet we stayed five days with the same bath and face towels, the same bedding, and no cleaning at all. There was no receptionist at any time, and the place was on the fourth floor with steep stairs and no elevators—horrible. The price matched another location that actually had an elevator, which we didn’t know about. The view is beautiful, but if you want more than just a view and need a calm, clean vacation, don’t go. Four or five rooms were rented on the same floor. The room size was fine, but I would have preferred a smaller one with the basic requirements we expected. It was an Airbnb, not a hotel or boutique; the building is residential. No signage indicated the location. We spent over two hours looking for the address, and no one could explain the neighborhood. When we finally found it, it was a regular residential building called a boutique hotel. The advertising was misleading.

The host met us immediately and escorted us to our rooms. Our room was very large, very clean, and modern. The location on the boardwalk was great, within walking distance of everything—shopping, food, gelato, and tours. However, our room had a sloped ceiling and my husband kept hitting his head on it; he wouldn’t switch sides with me, so that was his fault. There is only one keycard per room, which was an issue since we were traveling with friends, so we had to share it at least twice. If you’re just a couple, this probably won’t matter.
