I stayed in a lovely historic place, but there was sand in the bed and the sheets weren’t fresh; some spots smelled like perfume and the bedding didn’t feel newly washed.

The building was charming and the room was beautiful; the beds were fantastic and the whole place felt very cozy.

We rented the apartment for four adults and two dogs, and it had dog bowls, a fully equipped kitchen, and access to a small courtyard garden; everything was clean and we could use a vacuum and other appliances, plus parking and supermarkets were nearby. The only downside was that there was no door between the kitchen and the double‑bedroom.
