We spent one night at Tenuta Montelaura with my kids and our dog. The place is very beautiful, surrounded by greenery, with a lovely tree‑lined terrace behind the building. The parking lot is spacious. Unfortunately the restaurant only opens on weekends, so we couldn’t dine there. As a hotel housekeeper, I must point out that several details were poorly maintained: for example, the breakfast items were a bit stale, unwrapped, and had no expiry date. Still, the natural beauty and charm of the place allowed us to relax and sleep like angels. Unfortunately the welcome was sparse, with no explanations or suggestions, which is disappointing; I emphasize this shortcoming, but I also note that, as a housekeeper, I know how guests should be received in a property. Moreover, the venue has potential, like Tenuta Montelaura.
