Sport Hotel Prodongo

A wonderful resort with a full spa, stylish common areas and quality food, set on a kind of natural happy island between the Oltrepò Pavese and the Apennine range, offering relaxing views and beautiful surrounding woods. They let us use the pool for free even on checkout day, despite it being Sunday and fully booked, which we really appreciated. The only downside was the extras: we paid €21 for a coffee, a slice of cake and a digestif at the bar, and overall the price wasn’t exactly cheap for a three‑star hotel.

The location was convenient and lovely. A few details could use improvement.

The staff were welcoming, helpful, and attentive. They offered and let us choose lunch and dinner restaurants. Breakfast was varied with plenty of options. The room was clean and quiet. Nothing to report, but I’d remove the music played outside the pool in the garden—it’s unnecessary for those who want to relax and rest.

“Bien, mais froid”

The site, the calm, the building, and the room were all good. It’s a pity that in such a warm Italy one feels so much chill, even with the ambient temperature, and it seems the place doesn’t often host foreigners.
