Just outside the ropeway to Mount Goizhasho, the hotel’s location is spot on. Inside the complex you’ll find a Montbell store and a souvenir shop. Breakfast and dinner served on site are absolutely fantastic, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, delivering excellent service. The rooms are comfortable and the onsen is the highlight of the stay. I highly recommend this place for its food, service, and I’ll definitely return.
“景色優美離䌫車站近,地點絕佳!”
The room and the outdoor hot spring pool offer a great view, and the room is clean and comfortable. The shuttle bus from the station and the front desk staff’s attitude are excellent.
“NIce onsen for first timers”
A nicely secluded onsen deep in the mountains. If you’re not hesitant about going fully nude, the baths are often practically empty or you can rent a private bath for 45 minutes. It feels like a full ryokan experience at a much better price. I got a nice room with paper doors, and staff came by to set up the futons while we were at dinner. I requested a shuttle from the station and was greeted by staff at the entrance. The dinner and breakfast were presented as art, small portions but somehow filling. It’s worth trying at least once if you’re open to many dishes, such as a taste of Fugu. I didn’t use the public indoor bath; my experience is mainly outdoor. At 0700 it was windy but no one was there, and the water heated quickly so you won’t freeze before entering the onsen. Some older men came in later, and even with a language barrier we had a friendly and fairly long chat. I can’t say I ever liked a jacuzzi back in the US, but I’d do an onsen again. It was so nice I went back an hour after the first dip. The view over Nagoya is best at the outdoor public bath. Ryusei (private indoor) has the mood at night; not sure about the day.
The onsen features a private section with an incredible view! The breakfast is very good, and the room feels very Japanese. The dinner, however, is very (too) expensive and there is no alternative, but we didn’t try it.
“スタッフさんの対応がよかった。”
The staff’s attitude was good. The room’s power switch was inconvenient, and overall the room was quite dark.
