Very good place: a nice, old house with preserved atmosphere, homey vibes and friendly staff. Clean, comfortable, everything as we expected. I recommend it.

Location and breakfast were fine. Room 6 had a very creaky bed that woke the roommate every time it was turned, and a strange curtain in the bathroom that was half‑fallen.

Beautifully situated with direct access to the trails into the Riesengebirge. In the mornings and evenings there are grand views of the mountains. The breakfast was absolutely fine. The 3‑bedroom is extremely small, practically no furniture except a double bed, and a guest has to sleep in a loft under the slanted roof. It’s okay for young, mobile people, but older guests should choose a different room.

The location is great—close to the tourist office, restaurants, and trails. Our two‑bedroom was cozy and offered a nice view. At breakfast on Saturday, the bread and croissants ran out quickly and were refilled only after most guests had left. (I could have asked for more bread, but didn’t want to knock on the host’s door. I would prefer the host to keep an eye on that.) I would find it cheaper if guests could grab drinks in the evening and pay at a trusted cashier. We waited until the host was there and asked if we could buy drinks from him. If I were the host, I would mention all the useful points at check‑in: where to eat in the evening (his restaurant was closed), whether guests could buy drinks from him at night, and how to contact him if questions arise.
