Aside from the beds, everything was fine; the beds themselves could use an upgrade.

The location was great, just a short walk to Žďár and immediately into nature. There’s a pool next to the hotel (no food service, though), a natural bathing spot across the main street, and a forest of cottages. Inside the cottage you’ll find a fridge, a clothes dryer, and a simple cupboard with dishes. The bathroom is in the cottage. You can sit outside in the gazebo or under the trees. The blinds weren’t working, the insect nets in the windows (which is great) fell out when the windows were opened, and the contact form was hard to locate if you wanted to reach the staff directly. We also didn’t like the restaurant menu – everything was fried or dumplings with sauce on hot days.

The location was pleasant, the cottage was fine for a maximum of two nights when the weather was nice, but it closed down rapidly. The Ukrainian staff were unwilling and prices rose quickly; note that breakfast can only be ordered at least two days in advance, which you only learn about upon arrival. They keep the fridge, and there’s no shop within 5 km. After the chef changed, I don’t recommend the local food at all.
