The staff were very friendly, always ready to help you feel comfortable. The ryokan is beautiful and traditional, and the private onsens are spectacular, with every detail carefully tended. It’s a bit of a walk from the station—20 minutes on foot—but the peace makes it worthwhile.

The place offers three onsens of different sizes; once inside, you have a private space for 45 minutes without needing a prior reservation. It’s a simple but effective system, so there’s no issue with tattoos, and you can enjoy a private onsen without the high cost of having one in the room like other ryokans. I felt it was well worth it! Dinner was amazing—plenty of dishes, variety, care, different preparations, presentation, everything impeccable! Breakfast was the same. The hosts’ attention and courtesy will definitely stay in my memory. The access isn’t easy; it’s a nice walk from the train station. The facilities are quite old and could use a refurbishment. The cost‑benefit still works in its favor, but things like lighting, outlets, corner cleaning… could have received more attention—though that doesn’t ruin the experience at all.

We really enjoyed staying here because the ryokan’s traditional atmosphere was palpable. The bathroom is private in the room (sink and toilet), while the shower is shared. Breakfast is good and traditional; if you want to try something authentic, this place is perfect. The onsens are pleasant, with three shared baths accessible to all rooms. I’d give it a 10 because we found the traditional air we were looking for, and the staff were extremely kind. On the downside, a few renovations would help: the bathroom sink is too small, the toilet seat is a bit uncomfortable, and some small finishes—like repainting certain doors—would improve the overall feel. My bedding was torn and shed a lot of feathers, but I didn’t ask for anything; otherwise the staff were very helpful and would have changed it.
