“They need to upgrade the services up to Sheraton standards”

The property physically is great, but the way the services are provided downgrade the hotel to 4 stars. The staff need loads of training on customer experience and care. Breakfast was not as expected from Sheraton. The check‑in experience was very bad, at which the staff told me to book online to get a cheaper rate, then when I did and they charged my card at the reception, they charged higher. After a long fight, I canceled my reservation and booked directly with them and the supervisor tried to sort out things, but only after frustrating me enough. Then at checkout when they activated the payment, they also charged me more than the price they gave me!! And if I didn’t receive instantly a notification from my bank on the extra deduction, I would have never known that again they attempted to charge more. Then after another long frustrating conversation, they refunded the extra charge, but I still haven’t received it to clear them off.

The hotel’s location is excellent. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are perfectly clean, and the lobby area is quite pleasant and enjoyable to spend time in. We stayed for 3 nights, and unfortunately, there were several negative aspects to our stay. On our first night, we were told there was an event in the lobby. Loud music played until 1 AM, and it could clearly be heard from our room. A hotel shouldn’t host events that go on this late, as guests ultimately come there to sleep. Additionally, we wanted to purchase breakfast for just 2 days instead of our full 3‑day stay. However, they informed us that if you don’t buy it for the entire duration of your stay, they apply a different, much higher daily rate. The pricing was unreasonably high just because we wanted to select specific days. When we checked in, the room was cold (it was 10 °C outside). We wanted to heat the room, but the AC wouldn’t go above 24 °C. The room was stuck at 21 °C, and the AC struggled to reach 24 °C without properly switching to a warm heating mode. Finally, there was an inconsistency with the complimentary water. On our first day, we were given 3 free bottles of water. On the second day, this dropped to 2 bottles, and on our last day, only 1 bottle was left. I expected the water to be fully replenished to the original amount of 3 every day.

“Not value for money, good location but a poor breakfast and overall experience and stay”

The room was spacious – I stayed in the classic Room with a king bed, complete with a fridge, wardrobe, table, chair, sofa chair and plenty of room, so no complaints there. The bathroom had a walk‑in shower, toilet and sink; it’s not huge but functional. Walking to everything was easy even with a 15‑month‑old and a pram, and the lift worked fine. The rooms were quiet and the bed was large enough, though the pillows were very poor. We spent a long weekend in September for a family event (2 adults and our 15‑month‑old) and chose this hotel because of its location, luxury reputation and global brand. We called 3–5 months ahead to confirm dairy‑free breakfast options for our child’s allergies and that we don’t drink alcohol. Despite receiving confirmation, those arrangements weren’t honoured. The accessible entrance wouldn’t open after several attempts, leaving us juggling a pram, toddler and three suitcases after a long immigration queue, and the issue was dismissed. An alcohol bottle was found in our room even though we had explicitly requested none for religious reasons; the night receptionist was dismissive when we explained. The bed was spacious but the pillows offered no support and were extremely uncomfortable, a let‑down compared to other Sheraton hotels. Breakfast was the worst we’ve had on our travels: almost no dairy‑free options, food ran out while service hours remained, plates were scarce, fruit was poor and the omelette was burnt. We struggled to find seating, had to bring our own high chair and waited an hour for tea that never arrived; staff needed repeated prompting to replenish food. The manager was the only one who listened, apologized and swapped the alcohol for soft drinks, but the dietary issue stayed unresolved. Overall, the hotel fell far below the standards of a luxury international brand. With the high price, poor service, inadequate breakfast and failure to honour agreements made months in advance, it was extremely disappointing and poor value for money. I would struggle to recommend it.
