I rented a room and felt it was a great deal because I could use a single room at capsule‑hotel prices. I also got a free bike, which was very helpful. The bath was a bit dirty; it was usable but might bother some people.

I stayed just one night and had a very comfortable time. The owner was genuinely kind and welcomed me warmly. It was hot outside when I arrived, and stepping into the cool room was a real relief. When I go back to Amami, I’ll definitely stay here again.

They say the place is used for high‑school students’ boarding and hospital accompaniment, and every room has a single bed, desk, and fridge, so I could relax without other guests around. The laundry was available. The atmosphere was homey. The old house of the couple Tomio and Miho from Shimoi was nearby, which was nice. Everything I needed was just right. The only downside was the smell of urine in the neighboring room.

Even though it’s a bit out of Naze centre, the walks added to my enjoyment. I felt very safe and comfortable staying here. It’s cosy and homey.

Its a wired place, its a bit outside of town, but thats not a big deal. The rooms a crammed full of old things, the bed is hard and the sheet really old. You can not use the kitchen and there is no community space at all. I got 3 days of rain and did stay in that small room. The house has thin walls and you hear everything, means If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. The family is friendly and I would call it a homestay without any rights, better as a guesthouse with low standards
