The bed was comfy and the shower was good, but the breakfast selection was poor.

The location was great for visiting the area, and the welcoming staff were very helpful. The room was clean with great facilities, and the pub had a great atmosphere. The continental breakfast was lovely, and the restaurant menu was excellent.

The continental breakfast was good, and the cheese board and bottle of wine in the evening were fabulous. We stayed in the Brook House room, which was superb, but it would have been even better if there had been two small easy chairs to sit and enjoy coffee instead of having to lie on the bed fully clothed.

The traditional pub was refurbished to a high standard, with a lovely welcome and a great spot for exploring local attractions; the food was superb, the atmosphere pleasant, and the staff genuinely happy, helpful and attentive. The continental breakfast was delicious, especially the local fresh fruit. Sandy the cleaner was absolutely lovely and made us feel welcome, and the rooms were spotless. I would definitely return.
