I had a wonderful stay. The setting is absolutely sublime: the castle, the surrounding nature, the water and this incredibly peaceful atmosphere truly give the impression of being out of time. The rooms are in an annex building, but that didn’t bother me at all. My room was nicely renovated, comfortable and full of charm. And above all, it was a joy to wake up with a magnificent view of the castle, a sublime spectacle each morning. I especially appreciated the quality of the welcome and the kindness of the staff, always attentive and available. I also loved dinner and breakfast. For me, the quality of the cuisine is an important element, and I was pleasantly surprised. The meals were delicious, refined and prepared with great care. A very beautiful culinary discovery that really helped make my stay even more enjoyable. I greatly enjoyed this calm and relaxing atmosphere, far from the bustle. Everything invites you to take your time, enjoy nature and simply let yourself be carried by the beauty of the place. A very beautiful discovery, I will return with great pleasure!

Calm area. The pictures related to this premise are very misleading and do not accurately represent the hotel. While there is indeed a castle, the hotel itself is located outside the castle, and you have to walk some minutes to reach it. The hotel rooms are housed in a series of quite old small wooden buildings and, in my opinion, would barely qualify as one or two‑star accommodation. Without the misleading pictures of the castle, expectations would have been very different. So the pictures of the castle are 100% not representing where you are going to stay! It’s only about the castle, which only available to just “visit” during the day, and nothing to do with the actual place you are going to stay! The worst part was the restaurant. Since there are absolutely no other shops, buildings, or restaurants nearby, the hotel charges an astonishing ~800 SEK per person for dinner at the time we visit!!!! There are no alternative dining options whatsoever, so we had to choose between paying around 1,600 SEK for dinner or going hungry. The only other option was to buy chips and fruit from reception, which were also extremely overpriced.

Beautiful but we thought we would stay in the castle. No TV.
